Kingston United Soccer Club (KUSC) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit youth sports organization serving families across Horry County, South Carolina. Founded in 2021, KUSC has grown rapidly alongside one of the fastest‑growing regions in the state, now supporting more than 400 active players and welcoming nearly 1,000 people to its facilities each week. Our mission is to foster a competitive, supportive, and inclusive soccer environment that develops young athletes on and off the field while strengthening the community around them. As population growth accelerates in the Kingston and Myrtle Beach areas, demand for youth sports has outpaced available infrastructure. Soccer is among the fastest‑growing youth sports nationally, and our local participation reflects that trend. Without adequate field access, children lose opportunities for healthy activity, teamwork, mentorship, and safe after‑school engagement. The primary target group for this program is the children and families served by Kingston United Soccer Club—youth ages 5 to 17 representing a diverse cross‑section of the surrounding community. Beyond the players themselves, the broader community benefits through increased family engagement, shared spaces, and local economic activity generated by games, camps, clinics, and tournaments. The core need we aim to address is access to safe, high‑quality, and consistently available soccer fields. Our growth has created scheduling constraints, reduced training opportunities, and increased wear on existing facilities. Funding would support field enhancements and operational capacity improvements, such as maintenance, safety upgrades, equipment, and extended field availability, ensuring children have a dependable and safe place to play year‑round. Our program plan focuses on improving field access and sustainability so KUSC can continue offering recreational leagues, competitive travel programs, camps, clinics, and community events. By strengthening infrastructure, we can accommodate more players, reduce cancellations, and expand programming—particularly for families seeking affordable, community‑based athletics. Projected measurable outcomes include increased weekly field utilization, expanded enrollment capacity, reduced scheduling conflicts, improved safety conditions, and consistent access for over 400 youth athletes annually. We also expect enhanced community engagement, measured through attendance, participation, and retention across programs.
