The winner will have the opportunity to have a book proposal for a work of nonfiction, or up to the first 50 pages of a novel, read by the author, followed by a 30-minute Zoom or phone call for broad editorial feedback and to answer questions.
Ideally, the novel partial will be accompanied by a brief description of the story arc, the author’s thoughts and hopes about where the novel fits in the current fiction landscape, and a short author bio. This information will give the author a foundation so the follow-up discussion can be as relevant and actionable as possible.
