Joe Machota is a member of the Agency Board of leading entertainment and sports agency Creative Artists Agency (CAA), where he also serves as Head of the Theatre Department. Machota works in the New York office and represents many of the worlds leading directors, actors, and musicians including Scarlett Johansson, Glen Powell, Michelle Williams, Jonathan Bailey, David Corenswet, Greg Berlanti, Javier Ambrossi, Javier Calvo, Joe Mantello, Michael Shannon, Laurie Metcalf, Sara Bareilles, Benj Pasek, Justin Paul, Ricky Martin, Alecia Moore, Nicole Scherzinger, Neil Patrick Harris, Jonathan Groff, Sutton Foster, Jim Parsons, Billy Porter, Michael Arden, Jamie Lloyd, Casey Nicholaw, George C. Wolfe, Kenny Leon, Diane Paulus, Marc Shaiman, Scott Wittman, Indhu Rubasingham, and Lear deBessonet, among others.

Machota was named to Varietys Broadway Impact List which honors the 50 creatives, producers, and executives who made a mark during the Broadway season. He also has received The Boston Conservatory Alumnus of the Year Award, and the Millikin University Young Alumnus of the Year Award. Machota has also been named to Out Magazines Out 100 list of influential LGBTQ+ members, and Broadways 50 Most Powerful People. He currently serves on the Board of Trustees for Broadway Cares Equity Fights, Aids Dancebreak, and is a Founding Member of the Lincoln Center Global Exchange. This past year, Machota was recognized as the first talent agent to receive their caricature on the famous wall at Sardis.

Machota began his career at CAA in 2005, and graduated from the Boston Conservatory with a Masters in Theatre.
