      Marilyn Warhol by Eugene Kornman

      Marilyn Warhol by Eugene Kornman

          • This incredible image of Marilyn Monroe was taken as a publicity still for the movie Niagara by Eugene Kornman. After Marilyn’s untimely death, Andy Warhol immortalized this photograph by using it as the underlying image for his famous Marilyn Monroe screen prints. It is the most famous image in the world. Last year the vintage, large format camera negative was found in the archives of Movie Star News. Using the same crop that Andy Warhol used, this is the very first test print from the original negative. The print is blind-stamped “Movie Star News” and numbered #PP001, showing it to be the very first print made to Andy Warhol’s crop, since the discovery of the negative
