Bid now on this Boston Red Sox Captains Triple-Signed Baseball, bearing the authentic signatures of Carl Yastrzemski, Jim Rice, and Jason Varitek, the only players to have worn the “C” as team captain in modern Red Sox history. Proceeds from this lot support the 100 Billion Meals Challenge Fund.
Yastrzemski captained the Red Sox through the late 1960s and 70s, winning the 1967 Triple Crown and earning a place in the Hall of Fame. Rice followed as captain in the 1980s, taking the 1978 AL MVP award and his own Cooperstown induction. Varitek carried the title into the 2000s, anchoring the pitching staff through both the 2004 and 2007 World Series championships. Together their signatures trace the full arc of Red Sox captaincy across more than four decades.
