The Boston Celtics are the most decorated franchise in NBA history, with 17 championship banners hanging from the rafters. The parquet floor, first laid at Boston Garden in 1946, became as much a part of the team’s identity as any player who ran across it, its uneven planks and quirks the stuff of basketball lore.
